march is over, sadly. looks like uconn and illinois are facing off for the final four, and arizona and michigan are to face in the final four too. i’m indifferent mostly, since the hoyas aren’t there, but if anything i would like michigan to get their chip. anyway, the account has been generating a lot of reach since i started posting song recreations on it daily. i’m really happy with where it’s at and where it’s going. i’ll try my best to stay consistent with my uploads and hope it can hope it can keep it’s momentum. that’s all for this week.

realignment - 24/3/26

i had this app ‘KORG M01D’ on my 3ds for a while now but never got around to using it. when i did, i would usually just mess around with the drumkit. last saturday, i accidentally recreated the drum pattern for ‘pink+white’ by frank ocean, and that had me thinking… could i just remake the rest of the song? so i gave it a go. i started with the incredibly recognizable piano lead, then moved to the synths, and then the bass. it was indeed possible, albeit not truly faithful. it still sounded accurate to me. realizing this ability, i started to find more and more songs to recreate, and all to success. this lead me to create an instagram account dedicated to my renditions of these songs, in which i would post one daily. currently, it has 4 posts up so far. i don’t know where exactly i want to take this account, but i’ll definitely be working on it for the foreseeable future. now, when i titled this entry ‘realignment’, i meant it in a way that my emotional investment has shifted from working on the youtube video to this account. while it may come as a disappointment, i simply am not passionate enough to continue working on it as of now, especially when i’m already seeing results on the instagram account. so for now, production will be halted.

respite - 17/3/26

this week is shorter due to our midterm break. 10 whole days of downtime. i needed this more than i can express. to say the least, my sleep schedule has been all over the place, and this is the perfect time to refresh it. 10 days is a short amount of time, but also a long amount at the same time. theres a lot you can do in 10 days, but not much. i may choose to spend this time with family, or by myself, or with friends. maybe even all 3. time is what you make of it. it’s a finite resource, so we must leverage every minute we have. oftentimes i feel like i’m not taking advantage of it, which i’m sure isn’t a totally foreign feeling. but regardless of that, i will try my best to finish the video before the holiday ends.

commitment - 10/3/26

like i said in the last installment of the blog, i did indeed start AND finish writing the script for my video. now that the script is out the way, i can start the actual production. that in itself takes a lot of mental perseverance to get through, but thankfully a week-long holiday is upon me, so i will use that time to begin production. i’m very fond of the topic of the video, as it’s based around one of my stylistic inspirations that i admire deeply. i won’t spoil it too much, but just know that great things are in the works.

inconsistent - 3/3/26

haven’t updated this in a while… yikes.

thats my fault. but anyway, i am no longer sick and have been that way for a good week now. it really makes you appreciate the feeling of not being sick when you are. things you take for granted. i want to start working on my next youtube video but i just don’t feel the drive to do so. maybe i should just start and see where i go with it. tests and such seem to be piling up once more since it’s that time of the year, but i should be able to maintain a balance between working on the video and actual schoolwork as well as fitness and social time. maybe this blog should be updated weekly, and be done on every tuesday. i like the sound of that.

sick - 10/2/26

i hate being sick… it’s so annoying. thankfully, i don’t get sick as frequently as i used to, but each time i do, it’s like fighting an uphill battle for 2 weeks. while the prospect of staying at home and catching up on sleep is quite appealing, i also don’t want to fall behind on studies. regardless of that, recovery is always the most important. good sleep and hydration always work for me, at least.

genesis - 3/2/26

this is the beginning of my blog. i don’t really have much to say at the moment, but i plan for this page to be dedicated to documenting my thoughts and what’s going on with my life. expect a lot of yap about stuff i’m interested in.
